FOUR is a free photo booth app for iPhone made by Archer Lin. It recreates the Korean four-cut photo booth on your phone: you take six shots with a countdown, pick your favourite four, choose a frame and a look, and the finished strip is saved to a private timeline. You can take a strip with someone who isn't in the room by sending them a link, tag the people in each strip, and set a monthly tradition with them. Signing in with Apple, Google or email is optional and only backs up your strips so they follow you to a new phone. FOUR does not sell your data, has no public feed, and never uses face recognition.

Yes. Taking strips, keeping them, tagging people, remote strips and sharing are all free and always will be — they're how the product works, not a trial. A premium tier adds extra frames, 4K export and a few power features.
No. You can take your first strip without signing up for anything. An account only matters when you want your strips to survive a lost or replaced phone.
On your device. FOUR doesn't upload your pictures to a server, which is also why there's no public feed to appear in.
You take your four shots and send a link. Your friend takes theirs whenever they're free — different time zone is fine — and the strip composes itself once both halves are in.
That's the aim. The looks lift exposure, warm skin tones and add a little grain — the things that make a photo flattering — without the obvious filtered look.
Not yet. iPhone first, Android once the iPhone version is properly good.
